Ate here for the first time in many, many years (although we live only 15 minutes away) and haven't looked back. Delicious, seasonal cuisine with a good price / performance ratio and flexible portion size. We particularly recommend the local game products and of course the crème brûlée ;-) Thanks for a nice evening!

Nice location in the castle. Cozy dining room and outdoor area. We were passing through by motorcycle and only had a coffee, so I can't rate the kitchen.

Driving here since our girls are little. They love the castle ... a relaxing place for the whole family. Finally ice cream and apple strudel in the castle restaurant just great.

I'm blown away. Fantastic food, everything fresh and regional. Very clean and bright. And a service rarely found. Every extra wish is fulfilled naturally. For me, that falls under upscale gastronomy and at a price that is more than okay. I will definitely be back. Thank you for this nice day 👍

Unfortunately closed without info on the website. It's important these days. I was expecting to be able to eat here. Fortunately, I get dinner in the youth hostel next door. But I live in the tower.

I'd visited the castle before but never the restaurant... now I'm sad for all the chances I've missed to enjoy their wonderful food. The spring special menu was delicious. Our party of 10 each had something different and no one was disappointed.

This is one of the best restaurants in the area. The family that runs it strives for perfection and quality. Beautiful view and very good food! Another place to take visiting family and friends.

Went here often when assigned to the area from 13-16. Food always good, and service friendly. Very nice place to enjoy when the weather's good - outside terrace very comfortable. Come to the castle (the Burg), walk around the grounds, and then stop in for a very nice meal.

Excellent diner. Enjoyed the specials. Most plates were $8 to $21 euros which is reasonably priced. Many items were large enough to split/share. All items a smaller childrens portion was available for less. I had the roast beef special with spatzle and red cabbage and thought it was great. I enjoyed my Karlsberg Beer. The ambience was nice. It was a little warm, and of course being warm summer and open air expect a few flies (normal not excessive). Views are amazing.

We recently had our wedding here. On what was suppose to be the happiest day of our lives was shadowed by the utter nastiness of the owners wife. She is probably the rudest, meanest, most unhelpful person I have even seen in my life. She straight out told us she hates having weddings there and wished they didn't have to do them. Who says that to the bride?!?!? My wife needed a place to put her dress on. An event that would take all of 5 minutes since her hair and makeup would already be done. The lady refused to let her change there. Even though there were empty rooms not being used. That's the kind of person that is running that restaurant. On the wedding day she was exceptionally nasty. It was raining and my wedding party was required to wait outside in the rain, and there were children there. So inevitably while we are waiting for our turn to do the ceremony someone is going to have to use the bathroom. Every time someone would go into the restaurant to use the bathroom she would make some snarky rude comment. And when we were finally starting the ceremony and walking to the room she actually hissed at the bridesmaids and maid of honor. That's right she HISSED at them! I could not believe how rude and inappropriate this woman was and she's the own in charge. I will never go to this place again. My wife's unit used to do Christmas party's here but we changed that to another venue and I am telling EVERY unit I come in contact with not to go there. My advice to any American thinking about doing anything here is to NOT. The ownership here is not American or military friendly.

Perhaps I am spoiled...visited several castles/Burgs and I guess I am not impressed much by ruins. However, there was a high point that was accessible so to get a great view of the area.
